2016 Finishes Quilts - Thimbleberries Sunrise - #20

Now we are up to 2005 Thimbleberries BOM Club called Sunrise and Sunset.  And, once again, the club offered two color ways, and this year I signed up for both colors.  If you remember, I posted about #18 here, which was the other color way.

Here is the dark color way #18 called Sunset:

This is the light color way #20 called Sunrise:

This light color way quilt is bigger than the dark color way.  The dark one was 64" square.  The Sunrise version is 62" X 72".   Notice the different inner border sashing.  The top and bottom are the same and the left and right are the same.  The sashing like this make these quilts stand out more than the normal blocks quilts with plain sashing.

Even the six blocks are different for the Sunrise.  So, if you wanted, you would have the twelve blocks (normal for a 12 month BOM) and could make a different quilt.  What I like about Thimbleberries blocks is they are very different from the standard kind of BOM blocks normally used.

This shows the different outer borders in another floral blue (somewhat like the Lakeside Pines).

The backing is another floral blue, and the binding is a tonal darker blue.

Size: 62" X 72"

That has such a different personality to its twin! At first I wondered why on earth yiu had signed up to two colourways, but now I see why! The border is especially gorgeous! Xx
